Spread it.

Okay, so now you know all about The Cole Creek Project and your stream of consciousness is flowing like it’s never flowed before. Yet you still want more.
Spread!

Try these on for size.

  • Attend one of our workshops on rain gardens or rain barrels.

The Cole Creek Project will offer a series of free workshops on how to create your own rain garden and how to use and install a rain barrel. Watch our blog for more information.

  • Book a Cole Creek speaker for one of your meetings.

Members of The Cole Creek Speakers Bureau are available to talk to your business or organization free of charge. For a list of topics or to schedule a speaker for your group, contact Chris Hall at 402.554.4010 or chris@omahabydesign.org.

  • Help launch our Adopt a Stream group.

The Cole Creek Project would like to form an Adopt a Stream group. Are you interested in volunteering, or do you know of any groups that would like to help? Let us know! Watch our blog for more information.

  • Join the Green Omaha Coalition.

This local collaborative is dedicated to promoting a healthy, sustainable community through partnerships, policy and smart solutions. Get involved in one of the Green Omaha Coalition’s five councils – pick the one that matches your interest! For more information, visit www.greenomahacoalition.org.

  • Participate in Keep Omaha Beautiful’s Storm Drain Awareness Project.

Interested groups can help Keep Omaha Beautiful by affixing plastic discs to storm drains in their area of town. The discs remind people not to throw materials down city storm drains. It’s a great project for neighborhood groups and scout troops! For more information, contact Cindy Smilley at 402.444.7774.

  • Take the Cole Creek Pledge.

I, (state your name), pledge to learn more about my role in the local water cycle and to incorporate green solutions into my daily routines at home, work and school. (Send us a brief video of people you know taking the pledge! We might post them here.)
